Founded in 2017 by the father-and-son duo Phil and James Abbott, Revolution Race Cars was built on a mission to ensure that innovation in motorsport extends beyond the elite.

Phil Abbott co-founded Radical Sportscars in 1997, growing the company to over 100 staff and selling over 2,000 cars—transforming the landscape of club motorsport as it’s known today. Reflecting on his inspiration, Phil said, “Nobody had built the car I wanted to buy and race, so I decided to make it myself.”

By 2016, Phil was ready for a new challenge. Together with his son James, they spent countless hours in pitlanes around the world, observing a widening gap between top-tier racing series and the grassroots feeder series. It became evident that the car racers truly wanted to own and race once again simply didn’t exist.

With a fresh vision for the future of club motorsport, the Abbotts set out to create something revolutionary yet again!

The cars are designed to set new benchmarks for safety while delivering exceptional quality, value for money, and performance.
Phil Abbott has a proven track record in designing successful race cars and building race car companies. As a co-founder of Radical in 1997, Phil helped produce and sell over 2,000 race cars before exiting the company in 2016. His 50 years of industry expertise form the bedrock on which Revolution is built.
Together, James and Phil boast a combined 70+ years of race car manufacturing experience. They have also assembled an exceptional team, handpicked for their dedication to first-class customer service, superior quality, and cutting-edge innovation.
