Revolution A-One declared ‘astounding’ by

Revolution A-One declared ‘astounding’ by writer Sam Sheehan described the Revolution A-One as “astounding” when he tested the car on Monday during a Gold Track event Silverstone.

You can read his full impressions here, but suffice to say he had a thoroughly good time saying that the Revolution “inspires confidence” and it turns Porsche GT3RSs and Ferrari 488GTBs into slow-moving roadblocks.”

“A Weapon!”…… “Epic” – Top drivers thrilled by A-One performance

Sam’s comments were echoed by other top drivers on the day, including Radical Challenge Vice-Champion Jerome de Sadeleer describing his step up to the A-One as “This thing is a weapon! V6, 380hp and 795kg… it should lap Silverstone under 2mins.” Several other potential track day and Revolution UK Trophy race customers also tested the A-One, including Mark Williams who stepped out saying: ‘It’s an epic car with so much downforce that it’s unreal!

Pistonheads aren’t the only publication that has recently experienced the A-One and been thrilled by the performance and usability, Adam Towler from Evo magazine drove the car at Portimao during a day organised by German trackday specialists, Gedlich. His report will be out in the next issue of the Evo, so be sure to take a look.

All these plaudits come as no surprise really, the original Revolution concept focused on the track day scene with equal emphasis as racing. It is a car that was designed with the driver always in mind, and tactility, detailed feedback and limits that can be enjoyed rather than feared were key goals. Priorities included the highest levels of safety, quality and the ability to deliver a pure prototype race car experience, and with a passenger along for the ride too. The feedback shows that this car has hit all those targets and more.

Making a car that is equally enjoyed by racers and trackday drivers alike is something the team behind the Revolution have proven once again that they know about more than anyone else. This team set the standards in this field with the Radical SR3 and now they have raised the bar again for the next level of trackday machinery.

As Sam Sheehan says the Revolution A-One offers “LMP thrills on a turnkey.” The next Revolution A-One Silverstone test drive day is on March 18th. To book your place, click here
