Virginia International Raceway Hosts Thrilling Round Six of Prototype Sprint Series Association East Championship

This past weekend, Virginia International Raceway (VIR) played host to the exciting sixth round of the Prototype Sprint Series Association (PSSA) East Championship as part of the eagerly anticipated SpeedTour event. The 3.27-mile, 17-turn circuit, renowned for its high-speed straights, blind crests, and the historic oak tree corner, set the stage for a thrilling weekend of racing action.

The PSSA's field of 34 race cars, along with Revolution Race Cars, took on VIR's challenging layout in two feature races. Drivers battled for supremacy at the front of the field, showcasing impressive skill and race craft.

In Race 1, Zac Mosely delivered a standout performance for Revolution, holding onto P2 overall until a late-race spin dropped him down the order. Despite the setback, he managed to secure a commendable third-place finish in his class.

The weekend's highlight for Revolution came in Feature Race 2, with Marco Cencetti's remarkable charge through the field. In an astonishing display of driving skill, Cencetti overtook ten cars in just the first two laps (see video below), ultimately clinching the overall victory for Revolution Race Cars.

As the PSSA Championship heads to its season finale at Circuit of the Americas (COTA) from October 31 to November 3, anticipation is building for another large grid, with over 30 cars expected to compete. Revolution Race Cars are offering "arrive and drive" seats for the final race weekend, providing a unique opportunity for racers to join the action at one of the most iconic circuits in the world.
