University of Wolverhampton Racing Partners with Revolution Race Cars for the 2025 Season

The University of Wolverhampton Racing (UWRacing) team has announced an exciting partnership with Revolution Race Cars to compete in the Equipe Sports Prototypes series in 2025. This collaboration will see UWRacing fielding a Revolution 500 EVO, driven by lead driver Shane Kelly and maintained by the university's student-run racing team.

A Platform for Future Motorsport Professionals

UWRacing provides students with a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in competitive motorsport, blending academic theory with real-world application. As part of the University’s mission to prepare graduates for industry challenges, this program tests students' skills, stamina, and teamwork in a high-pressure environment. The team competes against both national and international racing outfits, pitting student engineers and mechanics against world-class teams and drivers.

Expanding Student Opportunities with Revolution Race Cars

The partnership with Revolution Race Cars extends beyond the track. Revolution is working closely with the university to create additional learning opportunities, including hands-on experience at the Revolution Race Cars factory. Right now, in December, a team of UWRacing students is assembling the Revolution 500 EVO that UWRacing will debut at the Autosport Show on January 9, 2025, and compete throughout the season.

Revolution Race Cars’ collaboration with UWRacing represents a two-way relationship. While students benefit from real-world assembly and engineering experience, the university also offers Revolution access to its advanced prototyping facilities, further strengthening the partnership.

Launching at the Autosport Show 2025

The partnership’s centrepiece, the UWRacing Revolution 500 EVO, will be officially unveiled at the Autosport Show in January. The vehicle symbolises the cutting-edge engineering and teamwork that the University of Wolverhampton and Revolution Race Cars aim to showcase on and off the track.

A leading UK university collaborating with a top UK race car manufacturer seems like a perfect fit for success. This collaboration not only sets the stage for a thrilling 2025 racing season but also reinforces the University of Wolverhampton's commitment to producing industry-ready graduates and advancing opportunities for aspiring motorsport professionals.
