Silverstone GP is next up for the Sports Prototype Cup

Silverstone GP circuit awaits Revolution this weekend as the next round of the Sports Prototype Cup approaches with a 25 car grid expected!!


Revolution have a six car entry:-

  • Richard Morris : 500SC : #500

  • James Taylor & Roger Green : 500SC : #8

  • Jonathan Mitchell : 500SC : #74

  • Nino La Rosa : 500SC : #7

  • Joaquim Penteado : 427 : #20

  • Dominik Dierkes : 427 : #76

We welcome two new drivers to the Revolution family this weekend:-


James Taylor

James is Deputy Editor at Evo Magazine. James studied automotive design at university, where the main thing he learned about designing cars is that it’s very difficult. He joined Evo from CAR magazine, where he was online editor before looking after the magazine’s features section. In love with motorsport since childhood, he raced a homebuilt kart as a teenager and has been fortunate to race in Ginettas, Radicals, McLarens, Minis, Audis, Morgans and even raced the first production Revolution A-One in 2019. We are looking forward to hearing what he thinks of the evolution to the current A-One 500SC.



Jonathan Mitchell

Jonathan a historic race winner and Caterham veteran is making his first outing in a modern prototype having previously raced a historic prototype Chevron B19. The London-based driver says "I am very excited to try the Revolution and a modern version of the sports prototype formula".




The weekend timetable is as follows:-

Friday 19th May:

• 11:25 Free practice 1 (45 mins)

• 14:40 Free practice 2 (45 mins)

• 16:05 Free practice 3 (30 mins)

• 17:15 Free practice 4 (30 mins)


Saturday 20th May:

• 09:35 Qualifying

• 11:40 Feature race 1

• 16:00 Feature race 2


Silverstone GP

This is a rare chance to race on the full GP circuit. Silverstone Circuit is a motor racing circuit in England, near the Northamptonshire villages of Towcester, Silverstone and Whittlebury. It is the home of the British Grand Prix, which it first hosted as the 1948 British Grand Prix. The circuit also hosts the British round of the MotoGP series.

The remainder of the calendar for The Sports Prototype cup is as follows:-

  • 20 May Silverstone GP

  • 18 June Donington GP

  • 13-15 October Spa Francorchamps

  • 16-17 Dec Portimão
