In a thrilling test of automotive supremacy, EVO Magazine set out to answer a tantalising question, “Which is quicker on track: a 740bhp McLaren 750S or a 518bhp Porsche 992 GT3 RS? And can either of them get close to a Radical or Revolution?” The tight, technical Trac Môn Anglesey Circuit in Wales served as the ultimate proving ground, and the results were nothing short of absolutely conclusive.
Well of the 24 road and race cars tested, NOTHING got close to the Revolution 500 EVO around the tight and twisty Trac Môn Anglesey Circuit.
Evo magazine writes:
“The ultimate dual-role trackday/race car that EVO Magazine has tested in the last 12 months is the Revolution 500 EVO. You need to put on your big boy pants, but once you’ve had a lap or two to adapt, you’re having too much fun to be frightened. As well as being devastatingly fast, the 500 EVO is also an entertainer.
Anglesey’s Coastal circuit doesn’t totally suit the Revolution: it’s a bit too big for the Corkscrew section and would be better suited to the longer International layout. It would be awesome to take it to Spa or Silverstone, somewhere with long fast curves.
AND YET. Its faster even than the smaller, lighter Radical, more than a full second faster! And it smashes the BAC’s 1:06.9 record by more than 1.6 seconds.”
