Exciting Start to the Revolution Cup North America Season at Road Atlanta

Updated: Mar 26

The Revolution Cup kicked off its season in style at Road Atlanta over the weekend, showcasing close competition and a diverse array of podium finishers across three races.

Zac Moseley emerged as the standout performer of the event, dominating the track with an impressive trio of victories. His commanding performance set a high bar for the season ahead, establishing him as a formidable contender in the championship standings from the outset.

Adding to the excitement were the impressive debuts of Jon Field and James Dennison, both newcomers to the series. However, Field is a very experienced racer whereas Dennison is totally new to racing in 2025. Field demonstrated his experience by securing third-place finishes in two races, both of which he led for long periods, unlucky to lose ground in the final stages of the races through no fault of his own. While Dennison claimed a podium finish in the final race of the day, finishing third overall on his debut weekend in the Revolution Cup.

Chris Hinojosa, series regular, and championship contender for sure, showcased his consistency with two second-place finishes across the weekend, demonstrating his ability to challenge the front-runners. Meanwhile, Marc Russell delivered a strong performance in the last race of the day, culminating in a second-place finish in the concluding race of the entire weekend.

Looking ahead, the Revolution Cup moves to the West Coast for its next event at Sonoma Raceway, scheduled from April 24th to April 27th. Anticipation is already building as competitors prepare to test their skills on the challenging California circuit.

The season opener at Road Atlanta saw multiple drivers showing early-season promise, fans can expect more intense battles and memorable moments as the championship unfolds.
