High Five for Revolution USA launch
Revolution Race Cars is celebrating the export of their fifth car to the lucrative USA market after a successful launch event at the Circuit of the Americas (COTA) in Texas last weekend.
The launch event saw the first four USA-spec cars be driven by customers and an order for a fifth car placed at the circuit by long-time Radical SR3 racer, Philip Berber.
Berber appropriately described the Revolution A-One as a ‘revolution in sports cars’ before placing the order. He took the decision to move up to the Revolution after his test laps of the 3.4 mile circuit near Austin Texas.
The event was hosted by Texas-based Revolution agent, Esses Racing, who were also joined by customers from the West Coast Revolution RSR agent.
The test took place on the full Formula One circuit, reinforcing the theme that all of the European Revolution Trophy races will take place at Grand Prix hosting venues in 2021 as part of the Sports Prototype Cup.
Over ten drivers registered for the test and the A-One immediately showed its pace, lapping faster than other track cars that were present on the same day including a Radical SR8 and various GT cars. Over 700 miles of testing were completed in the two day test underlining the reliability and durability of the Revolution.
The USA demonstration programme will continue during December and the Peterborough UK based manufacturer is planning to export the next batch of four cars to North America in January.
