Sir Chris Hoy will race a Revolution in the season-ending Sports Prototype Cup weekend at Portimao in Portugal.
The six-time Olympic champion has been keen to get behind the wheel since he saw the concept drawings last year and has been watching the project with interest.
Hoy, who raced in LMP2 at Le Mans in 2016, has become an experienced and successful race driver since he retired from cycling in 2013 and now competes regularly in everything from Caterhams to GT cars. He won the 2015 European LMP3 championship and is now looking forward to racing a prototype again.
Chris will test the car through the summer, joining the development team that now includes RAW Motorsport boss, Rob Wheldon, alongside James Abbott. Rob has already been involved in [...]
With full production cars now available, the first customers were able to get the full Revolution experience at RMA’s track day at Silverstone this week.
After a winter of testing development prototypes in the UK and around Europe, the first batch of excited customers joined the Revolution team at the home of the British GP, to try this stunning new car before deliveries begin ahead of the opening round of the Sports Prototype Cup.
Everyone was blown away by the dramatic lines styled by Simon Cox and crafted by Pete Watts, before being thrilled by its performance and drivability on track. All commented that the car looks even more impressive in real life, and on how easy the Revolution is to drive, giving great feedback and confidence, being both stable and communicative to a level [...]
The Revolution is bristling with cutting-edge technology.
Many headlines have already been written about its visually spectacular, high-downforce body, and the technology used in creating a carbon-tub that is both energy and time efficient in its production.
A lot has already been said about this being the first sports racer with a carbon tub that has a sub-£100k price tag, but perhaps less so about the class-leading safety, the quality of the components and the fit and finish, or the technology available to the driver via a bespoke steering wheel that allows the driver to control every aspect of car’s operation, while being able to monitor all performance parameters from the easy-to-read central screen.
The driver is the heart of this car, from the initial concept The Revolution [...]

Revolution completes successful 2000km endurance test in Portimao
Following on from UK testing through November and December, the Revolution development team relocated to southern Portugal ensuring the exhaustive, high-quality testing could continue throughout the worst of the winter months.
AIA Portimao not only has the weather, but it also happens to be one of the most challenging racetracks anywhere in Europe, making it the perfect destination to validate aero performance and component reliability.
Over five days the Revolution prototype completed over 2000km in the hands of test drivers James Abbott and Rob Wheldon, with both able to enjoy clocking faster lap times than all the main competitors.
“We brought a number of updates here following our UK testing, and all of them gave us more performance,” said James A [...]
Welcome to Revolution
Our story is a one that mixes motorsport passion and friendship.
As a lot of you may already know, Phil Abbott is the co-founder of Radical Sportscars. The only prototype race cars to have been productionised, building more than 2000 cars all over the world since 1997.
From June 2016 Phil worked with his friend of 10 years Romain Rousseaux, co-founder of Radical France, on a project in collaboration with Onroak to create the Ligier JS P4.
In September 2017, at 62 years old, Phil had still not had enough of 20 years of success in Motorsport with Radical and decided it was time to create a new brand, a new race car. A race car that would 'Revolutionise' the club racer market as much if not more than he did 20 years ago with Radical.
Phil called Romain with this strong idea in mind. The idea was obviously very tempting for enthusiasts like them but not only this new race car had to be Revolutionary, but the business model had to be a Revolution a [...]
